I just think of course it's a common mistake but sometimes you just have to take your time and remove everything and look at the instructions to see what to remove before plugging it up. But you are still my fav to watch and learn from Ms K
FINALLY! Someone 8 trust that purchased this. I ordered it in May. Had the same issue as you with that shipping pad that they don’t have a pre-warning to remove it’s hidden in the back of the manual. Initially, when I pulled the drawer out and inspected the mat that piece of material wasn’t there it obviously was stuck to the upper platen due to electro static. And when I was testing open and closing and trying to get the pressure, it was heating up and I was smelling this plastic come to find out what it was so now I got plastic residue stuck to the top of it. A little bit is on the mat, but I can’t get it off the top. When I chatted with their support, they were like you gotta let it cool down and then scrape it off. My set up button doesn’t work like you show it and I even videoed and sent it to their support team showing the set up button doesn’t work. But it’s like two or three days before they respond.
